Please join us for our annual Parish Picnic!
This is a great way to get to know people in the parish and have fun as a community. We need you at this event to make it a great time!
What is it?
The Picnic is an event we hold every year to celebrate our community. We start the evening with Mass, and then we move outside for the Picnic.
The Knights of Columbus will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers on the east side of the Education Center, and the rest of the food is potluck. If your dish needs to be kept cool or warm, please bring it to the Holy Family Hall (Community Center) prior to Mass and then carry it down to the Picnic after Mass. We will have tables set-up in the Education Center parking lot, but please feel free to bring a picnic blanket for additional seating.
This year, we have the added joy of celebrating Fr. Joseph’s birthday!
What should I bring?
If your last names begins with A-E please bring a salad or side dish, F-L please bring a bottle of wine to share, and M-Z please bring a dessert. We are also in need of cakes (or other goodies) as prizes for the cake walk, desserts for the dessert contest, and prize donations.
How can I help?
We always need a lot help to put on an event this large. If you can help with set-up (8:30 am - Noonish on August 18th) or clean-up (8:00-10:00ish pm) please sign-up here. When we have a bunch of volunteers, set-up and clean-up can go fairly quickly. If you are interested in volunteering with games, cooking, the prize table, or something else, please contact Teri Lauwers at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Please use the Ulysses St. entrance (closest to the cemetery) when arriving and leaving Mass and the picnic. The Ulysses St. entrance near the Education Center as well as the 10th St. entrance will be closed off so people can safely walk from the Church to the picnic. We will also have a limited number of accessible parking spots on the east side of the Education Center parking lot that can be accessed from Ulysses St. Thank you for your help in keeping this event safe and fun for everyone!!
