Please join us for our annual Parish Picnic!
This is a great way to get to know people in the parish and have fun as a community. We need you at this event to make it a great time!
What is it?
The Picnic is an event we hold every year to celebrate our community. We start the evening with Mass, and then we move outside for the Picnic.
The Knights of Columbus will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers near the row of cottonwood trees in the field, and the rest of the food is potluck. We will have tables set-up in the field, as well as more accessible tables in the parking lot, but please feel free to bring a picnic blanket for additional seating.
starts at 7:30 pm
Who can come?
All parishioners, their families, and friends are welcome. The event is free (although donations are always welcome) and we do encourage everyone to participate in the potluck.
What should I bring?
If your last names begins with A-E please bring a bottle of wine to share, F-L please bring a dessert, and M-Z please bring a salad. We are also in need of cakes (or other goodies) as prizes for the cake walk, desserts for the dessert contest, and prize donations.
How can I help?
We always need a lot help to put on an event this large. If you can help with set-up (8:30 am - Noonish on August 18th) or clean-up (8:00-10:00ish pm) please sign-up here. When we have a bunch of volunteers, set-up and clean-up can go fairly quickly. If you are interested in volunteering with games, cooking, the prize table, or something else, please contact Teri Lauwers at email@example.com.
Please use the Ulysses St. entrance (closest to the cemetery) as we will be closing the road between the Parish Office and the main parking lot for dancing. We hope to see you there!
